Cara Lauchland, CMT, MFRT
A seasoned Myofascial Release (MFR) Therapist, Cara helps people discover their unique balance through her signature method: Somatic Discovery MFR. Certified by the California Massage Therapy Council (CAMTC) with over a decade of bodywork experience, Cara explores the deep somatic connections between body & mind, intuitively unwinding the fascia to facilitate profound healing in her clients.
Cara guides her clients through a holistic process to release stress, tension, and pain while promoting an empowered and revitalized relationship with their body, and ultimately, with themselves. Informed by her observations and experiences, Cara’s approach evolved to address the intertwined physical, mental, and emotional dimensions of well-being through Myofascial Release (MFR), therapeutic nervous system response, and integration of emotional exploration & expression in somatic healing.
Cara’s journey into bodywork was sparked by an interest in physical therapy, driven by her experiences with sports-related injuries and love for anatomy & physiology. Her role as a physical therapy aide introduced her to the healing power and potential of modalities including Myofascial Release, massage, stretching, and the role of mindset in the healing process. Passionate for improving quality of life for herself and others, she pursued advanced education and mentorship in massage therapy & MFR.
Outside of her practice, the tranquility of horses and the ocean inspires Cara’s therapeutic philosophy. She believes that feeling peace within your body holds the key to unlocking breakthroughs to healing and satisfaction in life.
